Octavius /augustus

Augustus was born originally called  Octavius on 23 September 63 BC in Rome. In 43 BC his great-uncle, Julius Caesar, was assassinated by Gaius Cassius Longing and Marcus Junius Brutus, they stabbed Julius Caesar to death and in his will, Octavius, known as Octavian, was named as his heir. He fought to avenge Caesar and in 31 BC defeated Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium. He was now undisputed ruler of Rome. Augustus was the founder of the Roman Empire and its first Emperor, ruling from 27 BC until his death in AD 14 due to being ill.
